Our team at Segal Build recently completed a kitchen renovation in Edithvale. The room was dark and cramped. The old layout restricted movement, reduced storage space and made the whole living area feel smaller than it actually was.
Before the renovation, the kitchen featured light-wood cupboards, dark laminate surfaces and a bulky island. The floor was worn, the splashback looked shabby, and the room relied heavily on artificial lighting.
Our team completely transformed the room, turning it into a modern, functional and cosy heart of the home. We introduced a fresh style that blends perfectly with the rest of the Open Plan Kitchen Living Dining Room area. A large white stone worktop has become the kitchen’s centrepiece. The soft, neutral tones of the cupboards, combined with warm wooden details, have created a balanced look that is elegant.
Thanks to the improved layout, reflective surfaces and carefully positioned lighting, the room is now filled with natural light. A skylight above the benchtop enhances the sense of depth, whilst the existing windows serve as a striking focal point. The new wooden flooring, featuring a contemporary herringbone pattern, flows seamlessly throughout the open-plan space, visually uniting the kitchen, dining area and living room.
